Default Miami self-debark question

I'll be on Fascination in June and although I will have a 3:50 p.m. flight time home to Chicago, my mom will be picking me up at the Miami port around 10:00 a.m. so we can spend about 4 hours together including a nice long lunch, then she'll drive me to MIA for my flight.

Since your debark time depends on your flight, so I have to edit my online cruise profile (funpass) to indicate an earlier flight (i.e. 11:00)?

Or, since I"ll only have one carry-one bag and my purse, with no other suitcases, will I just be able to self-debark at 9:30?

Michelle-

I cruised the Fascination last December and if I remember correctly, the people that wanted to carry all their luggage off themselves were called first. My niece and I were off the ship and on our way home (I live in Cocoa, FL) long before 9:30.

Have a great cruise! I've sailed the Fascination 3 times. LOVE everything about the ship.

Angie,

Thanks - how did you let Carnival know you were carrying things off yourself? Do you just head to the debark deck and let them know right before you got off?

Michelle, they will make an announcement when the ship has been cleared and self-assist passengers who can carry all their luggage off will be allowed to leave the ship first along with passengers who have early flights...probably starting around 8:00 a.m.

Back in May i self embarked the Valor and had no problems. As a matter of fact for me it was less hassle. I needn't tell anyone. I simply DIDN"T leave anything for the porters to collect. 8)
