Back in the early days of self assist, it was only for U.S Citizens. Is that still the case? We haven't cruised on Carnival in almost 2 years and I am not sure what the current policy is today. I have looked at all of my docs for the appropriate policy, but did not see anything on self-assist. Does anyone who is a non-U.S. Citizen or travels with a non-US citizen know and has been on a Carnival cruise lately have the scoop on this? Thanks!
The FAQ on self debark does not say anything about citizenship. I don't know why it would matter as everyone must clear customs.

Thanks Irish, When they first started to offer it, it was only to U.S. Citizen's so it's a relief to hear that they no longer have that restriction. That way we won't have to be so stressed about getting to the airport for our flight home.
Im 99.9% sure anyone can self assist now. We did the self assist last time and got in back of lots of Mexicans that held up the lines, about 30 minutes per family. We had a large group of Mexicans on our cruise (we cruised out of Galveston so this is probably not so unusual except for the large size of their group).
There was lots of grumbling that some thought they should have their own line to go thru customs and immigration. Everyone in the family was finger printed and compared to stuff online, quite a lengthy process as we sat watching in the lines wishing the lines were moving quicker.
