The port for refit is in Charleston apparently. She is in for 1 month. Carnival is doing a major refit to her outer decks including the new WATERWORKS fun slides and a mini golf course.

On Sunday, we saw the Carnival Inspiration in drydock from the riverside park in North Charleston. We were close enough to hear the farmilar chimes with the outside messages. It sure was a good sound. We are three weeks away from our next cruise. Sure made it hard to wait seeing her so close.

We sailed Imagination on her “un-Official Inaugural Cruise.� She was a brand new ship set to begin service July 15th of 1995. We were to cruise on Carnival Celebration on June 23rd, 1995. The week before, Celebration caught fire. Carnival gave us the option to cancel or delay a week. On July 1st, Imagination was brought into service early. Most of the ship’s staff was the training staff from Carnival Corporate. They were so bad they were funny. Everyone had a ball on a brand new (then) mega ship.
