Tis the season poo.

Hang in there, and try not to get upset. You are still going to have a great time.

They're calling it "Invest 98" or "98L"and it may or may not become a hurricane. I don't know which weather site you use personally, but on wunderground.com, Dr. Jeff Masters does a tropical weather blog that is updated very frequently and explains things in a very easy to read manner.
Maybe reading this will make you feel better.......it's not expected to become a hurricane and should be long gone before your cruise

I feel your anxiety! I'm right behind you leaving in 2 weeks. It wouldn't bother me with the path of the hurricane right now -- what would bother me if it were in the direction of my area in which case I would have obligations to home and work. Otherwise.........they will take you where it is clear and you and I will have a blast!

Having lived in S. Florida they all bother me equally. I start thinking of the people without A/C when its so durn hot especially. Looks like the current hurricane is taking a very similar path to the last hurricane. We got hit with two hurricanes just like that within less than one month and the town had just finally gotten all the electricty back on a few days before Jeanne followed Frances thru. Its just so darn inconvenient. I dont feel sorry for cruisers who will be cruising out of harm's way and maybe miss a port. They knew that when they booked I figure. Im booked in a few weeks, and booked next Sept 7th...its a chance we take. The folks who get hit cant move out of the way. Without electricity the ATMs dont work, trucks dont go in with gas the last days before it hits so there are gas lines, its just durned no fun to go thru. I loved living in S. Florida, but dont miss the hurricanes. I was there during Andrew...what a nightmare.

I feel the pain ------- I was in direct path with Andrew here in Louisiana ------- Katrina AND Rita! Anyone who has been without electricity for weeks on end ---- without plumbing weeks on end (a bucket just doesn't cut it huh)---- dealing with insurance issues, etc I would go on and on. We can just hope and pray and VENT on this board....lol.

i remember living thru a hurricane when we had a home in galveston, all i do remember is when we were able to open the car door a huge snake had somehow gotten into it.

toronado's are one of my biggest fears
