I am cruising for the first time in sept. I cannot wait, but I am a bit nervous. One question i have that i have not found the answer for is:
with the sail and sign account, can I use a prepaid credit card? and if there are two people in one room with two different credit cards can you use two credit cards or only one?
this is a cruise for me and my friends birthdays, hers in aug and mine the day before we sail. no husbands, just us girls!
I am not sure what you mean by prepaid credit card, but credit cards are acceptable by Carnival for S&S. Also, each person in the room can use his/her own credit card or cash for the S&S and each person has his/her own account. Carnival will ask you for your information before you board and set the accounts up.
The Imagination was my first ship and I had a really good time. I'm so excited for you! And get ready, because you are about to become hopelessly and gloriously addicted...

a prepaid credit card is one you purchase, like from walmart or grocery store, you put however much you want on the card...if someone steels the number or card itself it only has that amount of money and no access to personal info...
I am glad that you asked this question, cause I was going to ask about it myself. We were going to use our Mastercard check card, but I have heard that a regular credit card is better in case there is some dispute over the bill, so my wife and I were going to get a prepaid credit card to use for the sign and sail. Hope we can use the prepaid one. It seems like it might be a better choice.
Sorry, not sure about the prepaid credit cards, but you can secure your sail-n-sign with cash or purchase online onboard credit. Are you taking Imagination to Grand Cayman/Ocho Rios? If so, you couldn't have picked a better first cruise..........ENJOY!
Actually I am going to Calica, Mexico, we leave out of miami to key west and then to mexico.
I'm partial to the other itinerary, but is that a good choice..........HELL YEAH! Try and make it to Playa del Carmen from Calica. The beach/surf there is drop dead GORGEOUS. Then, for your next cruise, and I guarantee you'll be taking another, consider Grand Cayman/Ocho Rios. And BTW, be sure and go out the back doors of the lido buffet. There's a quite little patio on both sides of the ship that's great for mornin coffee or evening sunsets. You'll have a BALL!
I thought that this cruise would be appropriate, great price, (kinda list minute), and good for me and a friend of mine--this is our birthday present to each other and ourselves. When i take my husband on his first cruise then i will probably upgrade a bit.
