My best friends and I are currently booked on the Sensation in October. Are there any other rooms that would sleep 4 besides the ones with 2 upper, and 2 lower? We wouldn't mind sleeping 2 to a bed. We are currently on the empress deck with an ocean view. We would love a balcony also. Any help is appreciated!
I am booked on the Destiny with 4 in our room and we have one upper, one fold out couch, and a queen bed. Ask your TA or PVP if they can accomodate something similar. I found ours by looking at the Deck plan, but looking at yours I don't see anything on the Empress that is like ours. The older ships are built a little different-I don't think there are balcony decks on the Sensation Empress deck either. If you don't have a Carnival Vacation Planner you may want to get one-they can help you out tremendously with your questions and preferences.
Only balconies available on Fantasy-class ships are Cat 11 or 12 suites and there's only a few. Beware many of the Cat 11's have obstructed view balconies.

What category do you have booked?
I had four people on the sensation. I found it to be not that much more money to get two cabins right next to each other, I could not imagine having four people in one room unless they were two very young children.
Forget it if it is four adults unless you have a suite.
I just went on the Sensation this past April with my sister. We booked an outside cabin and I couldn't imagine how four people can move around in an Empress deck outside cabin.
hi
I have a question first time on Cranival
We have an inside cabin and when I look it up on the deck plans it says it has 1 upper can someone tell me what that means??
I know it is a cheap room, but do we have to sleep in bunk beds???
I don't think my DH will like that too much

Mad
First Welcome to Cruisemates
As far as I know all the Carnival cabins I have been in have two lower and two upper beds (Which will be folded into the wall since you will not be using them). So you and your DH need not sleep in bunk beds. I think they can even make one big bed out of the 2 beds by pushing them together.

Joe,

how do we let them know to put the beds together? Can I do that ahead o time?
Again thanks!

I don't wanna rain on your parade, but you better check your reservations. Carnival does have a CAT. 1 Inside/Upper stateroom on Fantasy-class ships which features 1 twin and 1 pullman bed. If your reservations say CAT 4, you'll have two twins and who-knows-what else. If they state CAT 1, you'll should still have time to upgrade your stateroom.
Cleveland,
thank you.....we have a cat 4B it is an inside cabin on the main deck
nothing exciting but we don't spend much time in the cabin every cruise line is different so we'll see it does say that we have 1 upper
I'm assuming that means twin beds and 1 upper bunk somewhere......

YUP, that's what it means. I was just afraid you booked a CAT 1 by mistake and wanted to give you time to make the change. Check out the little patios on both sides of the lido buffet out the back doors. Great little secluded spot for mornin coffee or evening sunsets. Have a great cruise!
