yea, I have a whole tape with Samantha Brown cruising Adventures of the sea and another RCL ship, the dos and don'ts, cruise ship secrets, and I think another one. saw residensea a couple of times, too.
I also love to watch the Travel Channel specials on luxury yachts, houseboats, etc...
I wish Samantha Brown would do shows on the Carnival Lines - you know, do ah hour show on one ship in each Class and put that on the Travel Channel. That would be so cool!!!
Iv been watching Samatha Brown, not cruising, land, but she did the Belize tube caving the last hour which I REALLY wanted to do, but my sister cant swim so Im not sure someone who cant swim can do cave tubing, so it was fun to watch on TV.
She is showing highlights from central and south american and even panama, one per hour today.
(Actually waiting for football to be over and Big Brother to start shhhhhhhh :P )
Last night they had on the Disney Cruise line ships, they looked pretty fun even if you dont have kids, anyone been on one of the disney ships??
We went on Disney a few years ago, there were somethings we loved about it, and somethings just "ok".
Their terminal and embarkation process is 100% better than Carnival's.
The sail away party is very fun, and pirate party/buffet is out of this world and so much fun.
The adults only pool is ENFORCED. Very quiet area and lovely big pool.
The night life is lacking, no casino and not alot going on after 11pm.
The food is just "ok" - but room service offered more kid friendly selections like burgers and hotdogs ...which were great. Overall the kids liked the food better than Carnival, and the adults preferred Carnival. Go figure.
We gave the kids a choice for next year Carnival or Disney, they all voted Carnival....they prefer camp carnival, they liked the easy access to the self service Ice cream, and they prefer the bigger water slide on Carnival. Younger kids would probably prefer Disney...but our kids are 9,10 and 14.
