Default Good late debarkation tips

Last time we were on a cruise they had us all go to the auditorium and sit there until we were called, No Fun . We do not have a flight to catch so we would like to wait until the crowd is down a little and just enjoy our last hours on ship sitting on the Lido or Panorama, has anyone done this? We will pak at the Mobile port so we will pick our luggage up at one of those pick up zones and it would be much easier to spot our luggage if we wait until the crowd is down. So any good debarkation tips

Don't wait there.. wait on the Lido deck until they give the last announcement that you must leave the ship. thats what I do and have a nice breakfast...

We just got off the Paradise this weekend. They had changed to a zone system. And, didn't require us to go to a specific place. They just asked that we don't go to the deck that was being used for debarkation until our zone was called. For us the line looked too long. So we just waited on the Lido and enjoyed our breakfast. The line was still too long so we waited in an adjacent lounge. Quite pleasant than the old way.
