Default So Long.....farewell......Fantasy here we come!

So long........farewell.........I hate to leave you guys (yea right ) but its time for me to get some shut eye. I have 7 more hours of sweating out being 'on call' (I work surgery). Drop the pups and cats off ( ) to be boarded at the vets for 8 and leave at 9 to be in New ORleans for 10:30 - park the car - walk up to the VIP station (this is different for me) and will have my first sigh or relief and cruise drink by noon I am hoping. I sure wish Carnival would do what RC does -- and that is going by Cruise Days and not cruise's alone! I would be platinium by now if we went by RC standards. The next 5 days will fly by and I'll come back with a full report. I think we will be going to Xcaret in Cozumel and the Flamingo excursion in Progresso - both are 7 hrs long - so no extra time to shop (don't need to do that anyway). This is my first 5 day cruise so I know it will be much much MUCH to short! But..........still again..........its a cruise........port is close.........driving distance........and price was right. One week earlier we would have hit the hurricane weather. Looks like weather will be good.
OK..Good night......so long.......farewell.........until next Saturday! YOu know I say that, but will sure check back in the a.m....lol

Have a great time! We live in Louisiana also and have considered this cruise a couple of times but have not gone yet. We have sailed on Princess to the West Carib this past January. A group of us went and had a great time. Will enjoy seeing your report when you get back. Have fun!

HI..we are from Lafayette Louisiana and this is the same cruise we are taking December 1st. We went on Conquest last year, but wanted something a little closer to home. Can't wait to get Cheryl's report.

Hey Louisiana peoples!! And everyone else!! Now I am really getting and going to bed...lol. I couldn't help but see you guys posted. I wish Carnival would put a 7 nighter out of N.O. Isn't it so convenient to sail from N.O. now that she is up and running again!! Hey...I work in Franklin -- my daughter lives in Lafayette!!! Talk soon! Good night -- for real this time!

Your ship's in port. I just checked via webcam. (I always do that before I sail).

Hope you have a great cruise Cheryl . The wife and I will be arriving around noon next Sat. to board the Fantasy when your getting off.

I'm with you, I don't see why a cruise line don't put a 7-day in N.O. again.Maybe soon

Happy Sailing to all;
David

Progresso is a port you have to do an excursion in as there is nothing near the ship port for you to do!
