Which spa treatment was the best? I'm going on the Holiday, I usually get a full massage, but I have heard they have these aroma therapy massages or treatments. I tried that apha pod when I was on the Conquest, it is supposed to relax you and put you into a alpha wave state of rest, it really didn't do much for me.
My DD and I both had the hot stone massage on the Legend. We each had our own private room, were covered with a warm and soft blanket, aromatherapy (I was smelling lavender for the whole hour), the warm scented massage oils, soft, restful music playing, dimmed lights, and the warmth and slight weight of the stones placed on my back, shoulders and upper thighs for the moments before being used in the massage. Several times I caught myself on the verge of falling asleep! I had months of what I call "stress knots" stored in my neck, shoulders and upper thighs and when I left the SPA, they were all gone! I highly recommend hot stones and a deep massage, just be sure to drink lots of fluids afterward to flush out the toxins.

I narrowed down my choices to the hot stone massage and the Aroma Spa Ocean Massage (or something like that). Since I can get a hot stone massage at my local spa I decided that if DH would do a "couples" massage we'd do hot stone but if not, I would do the Aroma Spa. I recommend either but here is a description of the Aroma Spa Ocean massage "thingy"...
completely undressed, you lay on the table face up with a thin blanket over you; first thing done is the ocean "mud" is applied to your limbs, stomach, and upper chest; then you are wrapped in a very light foil blanket; while the "mud" soaks in a bit you are given a scalp massage; you are at least slightly warm - not cold at all - but i was just warm; then off to a nice hot shower to get the "mud" off; lay back down on the table face up again and get wrapped in a new foil sheet (same type just not the dirty one you just got off of); this is where some people will sweat from the aroma and seaweed therapy, but I was still just warm; during this phase you get your reflexology (foot) massage for about 20 minutes; then off to the shower again maybe a little cooler this time; return to the massage bed one last time and lay face down; this is when the third massage treatment is done and it is a full body massage with focus on any area(s) you request. VOILA! Three massages in one plus a detoxifying, stress relieving wrap...not to mention the aromatherapy and soothing music...oh and the floor to ceiling window out to the beautiful sea and sky!!!!
I guess you can tell that DH was NOT up for a couple's massage. He just won't let me show him what he is missing by never getting a massage!!
I don't think you can go wrong with any spa treatment
