Default Which ships have serenity adult area?

I was just wondering which ships have the serenity adult area? I know the Imagination and Inspiration will have it after their overhalls. Thanks, Carla

They will be the first. By 2009, all Fantasy-class ships will have them

I just noticed that the new "Grand Class" Princess ships have that area, but they charge $10 per day to go there!

The Inspiration and Imagination will have them by the end of 2007.
The Fantasy and Paradise will have them by the end of 2008.

The other 4 ships do not have their drydock schedules posted yet.

RCCL also has an adult Solarium (from what I read - no personal experience) that they do not charge for.

I've never heard of this. What is it and why do they charge you to go in it. I figured thats what the spa hot tub was for.

I, too, don't have a clue as to what this is? Does it have something to do with adult diapers?

It is an adults only area. So no kids taking over the hot tubs, etc

Do people take thier kids to the spa hot tub? I figured they would want to be out by the regular pool all the time.

So you pay an extra fee.. Is there a bar? wait staff.. music.?

I don't know if you have to pay an extra fee. There is a bar and a waiter to bring you drinks. From what I gather is just comfy lounge chairs, drinks and a great quite view.

Here is all I could find on it:
Quote:
The ‚ÄúSerenity‚Ä? areas will be located in a secluded aft section of the ship that provides for spectacular ocean vistas. The stunning new design will feature plush chaise lounges and chairs. Colorful oversized umbrellas and a separate relaxation area will also provide the opportunity for guests to enjoy this new area in shaded comfort. Two whirlpools will be available to offer the ultimate relaxing escape.

Complete bar service will be provided by attentive waiters offering a tempting selection of icy cocktails and frozen concoctions. For guests interested in a snack or casual meal, the Lido Restaurant is conveniently located nearby.

wow, is that going to be on the Fascination class of ships by June 08? I'd love to have a kids-free zone as I'll be going without my son. I bet that area will be VERY crowded, though.

Princess is the only cruise line that I have read that charges $10 a day for this...but it includes sodas, water etc.

I believe Carnival's area will be more like the free area that RCCL has. Just kid free....(until some idiot parent decides this does not apply to their precious little one)

I am waiting to see it enforced.....

Yep, me too. Just like they enforce the adults only hot tubs in the aft area of the Conquest Class ships. (It's always loaded with unsupervised children!) I think maybe the $10 charge on Princess just might be worth it!

Don't say that too loud or they will start charging for everything, next thing we know it'll be a la carte cruising. Kind of like E-Z Cruise...yuck!!!

I always cruise kid free as my kids are grown and on their own. However, I would like to be free of other adults' kids.

The Crown Princess has a Serenity area above the spa called Sanctuary. It has loungers with extra thick cushions, relaxing music, fruit, cabanas for massages but I don't know if soda and water were free. It was $10 for half a day and $20 for a full day pass. Hours are 8a-12:30p and 1p-5:30p. The pool area was below by the spa and open to all adults, no fee. I never saw anyone in the Sanctuary and heard many by the pool say they wouldn't they pay extra and many thought the idea won't last long. It was nice and quiet and very relaxing.

I have to say that when I sail Princess, I will probably pay extra for this feature. It does sound like they "charge" as a control measure to keep from being over run with adults wanting to escape .....

Thats funny from what I read on the carnival website it is supposed to be a secluded area just for adults no children allowed I was not aware that they were imposing fees to utilize this area if thats case I will just go back to my room I am going by myself so there will always be peace and quiet as far as I am concerned.

The fees are on the Princess cruises, not Carnival, at least that's how I interpreted the previous posts on this thread.
