Default Half Moon Cay hints

I have one very important tip for anyone who is has HMC as one of it's ports of call. They have two tenders that run the passengers back and forth, now, this is the trick one must remember--BOOK YOUR EXCURSION IN ADVANCE. They DO NOT let anyone and everyone off right away, no, if you have an excursion--even if it is at 1 pm--you will get off the ship before anyone else.

I was in and out of the water and back at the welcome center by the time tender stickers in the teens were getting off. I had an excursion for 11, but I still got off on the second tender to leave the ship.

Excursions are able to be booked on shore as well at a booth really close to the bar.

HMC is a little slice of paradise!

We did one of the glass bottom boats when we were there last year. Very nice and relaxing. Then we just walked around and relaxed in the courtyard. It's a beautiful place.

Is there any one excursion that you could possibly reccomend for a person that is crusing alone.

When I do Half Moon Cay, I am going to rent one of those little cabins. But apparently Carnival doesn't let you book those in advance, you have to wait until you are on the ship.

I did the stingray encounter (two departure times). It was fun to snorkle amongst the rays and just see then scoot by. The guide was feeding them too and they didn't seem to mind being picked up to squirt water at us for pictures.....

I shocked people by going in the water with my waterproof camera....heee heee hee.....

I had glass bottom boat and snorkling on my list to do as well...
