Default Independent Excursions

Would anyone have any Independent Excursions that you could recommend for San Juan, St. Thomas and/or Tortola?

We are travelling on the Carnival Miracle on May 1/08 -- there will be my DH, our special needs adult son (still ambulatory -- but quite unstable on his feet), my sister and her 18 month old daughter.

My DH and son will more then likely stay aboard the ship -- but I like to book excursions that they can partake in if they so wish.

I just find that the ship excursions are too crowded.

Also need suggestions for a Hotel for NYC for the night prior to the cruise.

Thanks,

Tracey

St. Thomas - We took a cab from the ship to Coki Beach/ Coral World. We absolutely loved it. When we were done there, we took a cab back and took the ariel tram to Paradise Point then enjoyed some shopping. I don't remember how much the ship charged for this but we got to do more because we weren't on thier time line. Enjoy your cruise.

Thanks so much -- that is what I have been contemplating. The beach for my sister and baby - the Marine observation for myself and then Paradise Point for the 3 of us. I hope my DH will come along on the excursion -- but if he doesn't -- it is his loss.
