Got an additional cabin for 100!!!!

I am SO excited somehow I was able to split our cabin of 5 into two cabins 1 for 3 and 1 for 2. Also we were able to get side by side cabins which just doesn't happen so close to cruise date (according the rep). I believe it because I think this ship is pretty full. So I feel lucky!

The only negative IF it is a negative is that we had to go from the 6th floor to the 2nd floor.

To me it was worth it for the extra space.

That's GREAT! You'll feel less motion on the lower deck. And, it's easier gettin off in the ports from the lower decks. Same thing at debarkation, they make everyone use the stairwell, so you won't have far to go. Enjoy your cruise, you'll REALLY appreciate the extra cabin.

That is awesome! Being on the 2nd deck isn't a big deal. Having the 2nd cabin -- side by side -- is huge! Congratulations and Bon Voyage!

Cutiecat and anyone else wondering--

OK..heres how I did it. I have called Carnival literally almost every single day for the past 6 months. I am sure messages popped up all over the computer each time I called them because I was driving them crazy.....
I called to make sure the rates hadn't drop because if they did i wanted them. They dropped by 100 on Thursday. So I called BUT when i got off the phone on Thursday morning I was told the difference would be closer to 400. I thought about it all day on Thursday and the numbers werent adding up so I called back Thursday pm and got someone who was very motivated to help me and extremely nice. Sometimes it does depend on who answers the phone. Thats why i would recommend to call and call and call!

I kept watching the price. Lets see if I can do the math here. We had a cabin on deck 6.

I think this is what we WERE doing

Persons 1 and 2 - 699 ea (including taxes and fees) 1398
3, 4 and 5 350 ea (including taxes and fees) 1050

2448

NOW this is the new deal

Persons 1 and 2 - 550 ea. (includes taxes) 1100

Second cabin
Persons 1 and 2 550 ea. 1100
Person 3 350 ea (incl taxes) 350

2550

Thats the 100 difference!

Abolutely, 2 cabins is the way to go. Congratulation for getting a GREAT Deal. My DH and I took the 3 teenagers with us last time and IT was wonderful to have 2 cabins. Much more room. Have fun.

So...are you saying that I can call Carnival and ask them if the rates have dropped for our cruise on the Fantasy Oct. 6, and that if they have, they'll credit us the difference??

Just call the general Carnival number? I'm all about a deal!

This is a good thing:

Your cruise will be much more enjoyable without five in one cabin. I love togetherness but not when it comes to five or even four in a cabin.

Yes!!! You can absolutely keep checking your price and if your room category price drops they will credit you the difference. The key is who answers the phone. Sometimes they will do it no problem and sometimes they fuss a little but they have always done it for me and many others that I have read about on these boards. Good luck!
