Default Current Eastern Caribbean weather

Has anyone cruised the eastern caribbean recently with all the systems that keep popping up there? I was just wondering if the ride was going to be a bumpy one. We leave next Saturday and there seems to be several systems that are just sitting there, not going anywhere or developing into anything. Just wondering what the ride and weather will be like.

Just wondering what the ride and weather will be like.

I've contacted the appropriate authority and ordered 7 days of this commencing with your sail date. Have a GREAT cruise!

I just got back last night and it was actually some of the smoothest water we have sailed in of six cruises. We had no issues and according to the weather reports, we weren't that far from where the action was. Don't worry you'll be fine. Just bring your meds if you get sea sick.

Cleveland, thanks for ordering the fantastic weather for us. I just checked wunderground again, and now there isn't anything sitting in the eastern caribbean. Hopefully it will stay that way. Beenie, glad you had a great trip. I'm so looking forward to this cruise and I hope the weather cooperates while we are there. Thanks.

I got off two weeks ago and we had the remnants of tropical depression Ingrid come through in San Juan. I say remnants because all that happened was a wee thunderstorm in late afternoon.

The weather for the seven days I was gone, with humidity factored in, was 36C to 41C. I come from Western Canada, so we are used to low humidity (30ish%) and anything over 50% with a mid-high 20's C would make anyone melt like a snowman in summer!

Floridanamaw I am going to be anxiously waiting for your review when you return. Have a great week, and take plenty notes so you can report back every detail.

Just got back also. Most days saw waves in the 4-6 foot range that just barely make a gentle rocking onboard. We hit a little rougher water on a couple of nights, but no big deal.

80% of our trip was sunny and warm. A little rain here and there but it didn't last long. One sea day was overcast with occational rain, but with the humidity how can you really notice rain?

Looked like the captain jus steered clear of most storms during the day and we had very little wet weather while on shore. Like you said, nothing really formed up last week.

Most of the storms seem to be turning north before they get to the islands. That could change in the next few weeks, but the change for really bad weather is declining now.

Right now all seems quiet in eastern caribbean. Hopefully it will stay that way. I wouldn't even mind overcast days to keep the sun away, but I will take whatever mother nature has in store for us, so long as I am away from work and on a ship enjoying a cruise. I will report in as I can. I plan on getting an internet package so will try and keep in touch with cruisemates. I am so ready for this cruise.

Put it a slot machine and win YOURSELF another cruise. We'll still be here when you get back.
