Default Any suggestions?

Hi,

This coming January my girlfriend and I will be on the Triumph cruising to San Juan, St. Thomas, and Grand Turk. This will be my 3rd cruise and her 1st. I plan to pop the BIG question to her. I do have one idea so far but thought I'll see what my fellow cruising mates might suggest. Any suggestions? Much appreciated.

Thanks,
Jeff

Looking for ideas on the ship or on shore?

If you search the word propose on the carnival forum you will find another thread of a guy looking for suggestions too. Carla

That's so sweet! Could you possibly somehow get onstage at one of the shows & propse that way? Of course you will either need to sing her a very special song or say some very special words before you pop the BIG question. If you want something more private, maybe take her out on the deck after dark with some champagne. I'll keep thinking on it!

The view from Paradise Point over St. Thomas harbor with the cruise ships all lit up at nite is BREATHTAKING. Since you're cruising in Jan, it'll get dark early. Couple of Bailey's Bushwhackers oughta take the edge off.

I was on the triumph and at night the deck can be pretty empty especially in the front (i forget the nautical bow/stern term)... If you're on a sea day, it can be almost pitch black...

Or I would talk to the cruise director to see if I could get in on some event they do during the day/evening and do it in front of everyone..

Or reserve a place in the private dining room..

Or a nice private spot on a beach at sunset..

Or work with the piano man if you're a singer and sing the proposal..

Ok I'm just getting in to the cheese now..

if you haven't done it by the time you are in the turks, go to marguerarittaville and join the great pool party at the swim up bar. excuse yourself during the music and tell the dj what you want to do. he will find a way to get one of you on the floor and you can take it from there. in front of all those people is sure to give you a moment that you will remember forever. hope the triumph gives you a great cruise.

Most girls are looking for that moment they can go back to their friends and get that 'aww he is so sweet moment'. A beach & a sea shell with the ring inside definetly qualifies for that awww momemnt.

Mostly its about how creative you can be. Here is a link to the The Knot. They have a bunch of articles about different types of proposals and ideas. http://theknot.com/keywords/sc_166_533.shtml
