Default Questions about Platinum Cruisers

1. Do you become Platimum as of your 10th cruise or on your 11th?

2. What are some of the perks?

3. Do you get anything from Princess, HAL, etc. if you are a Carnival Platinum cruiser?

I am real close to being platinum and am wondering about this.

I know it has been covered before but if anyone wants to answer again, feel free.

I do not knwo when you become one if it is on the 10th or the 11th I was past that when they stated the ratings.

Perks here is what I remeber
Your own check in area no long lines . If the boat is not boarding when you get there you become the first ones on the boat
Free Carnival logo item
Free Carnival stationary with your name on it
2 nights you get a extra free sanck to the room
Private Galley tour
if you are tendering you get first tender.
One I like if you do a reverse trip and have to go to customs while at sea you are the first one to go in a secret area and takes a few min
Free wash and fold service
Supper club times when you want and you get your dinner choise
and First one off the boat when you arrive back at home port

o.k. good deal. I don't know if my Fantasy cruise will be my ninth or tenth cruise b/c I never actually got on the ship for the Inspiration. It was cancelled.

Anyway, one way or the other, by my summer cruise of 08, i will be platinum. The only perk I am interested in is not having to get on the long lines to get on and off the ship.

By far the best perk is priority embarkation and debarkation. We love being first on the boat the first day. And not fighting the crowds to find your luggage or go thru customs is a biggy too !! :-)

I wholeheartedly agree with MJM--- the best is the VIP check in and the priority disembarkation. We were on the Glory a couple weeks ago.
Platinum members met in the main lobby around 7 a.m the last morning-- by approx. 7:15 we were getting off-- your baggage ( platinum disembark. tags ) will be in a seperate area--easy to find. By 7:45 we were getting into the car to drive away.
I can tell you from many past experiences that beats the heck out of fighting the crowds trying to get off the ship.

We usually arrive at the port about 10 AM and so far the VIP desk wans't open yet and they told us we'd get on board faster if we waited with the other passengers. This time we are going to arrive later to see if the VIP boarding works!!

We arrived at 11am in New York and the VIP section was just standing to check in. Everyone else was still sitting. They checked all the VIP folks in and then started the line for everyone else.

After check in, we then moved to another section of chairs and waited get on the ship. We were the 4th people on board!! yeah!!!
