Me and my friend Rob are going on this cruise on Feb. 17.

Were both 17 now but will be 18 by the time the cruise gets here.

Somone said that its just going to be tons of Puerto Ricans.. now i have nothing against them but i would like to see kids from the states etc.. So now were both worried we won't met anyone our age from the states, just kids from puerto rico.

Has anyone every been on this cruise? Can anyone claim my nevers?

I'm not sure why your nerves would need to be calmed. I spent many years with the USMC traveling the world , and for me the best part of cruising is meeting new people and sharing experiences. I suggest that you go on your cruise with an open mind and reach out to some of the kids your own age. My experieces has been that most people are the same despite some cultural differences. Btw, Puerto Rico might be in the caribbean, but Puerto Ricans are US citizens who share the same customs and culture as us in the western 48 states, with the exception that most Puerto Ricans can speak both spanish and english and we speak only english. I will be sailing the Destiny out of Puerto Rico in Nov and I am very excited

I sailed on Destiny a couple of years ago out of Puerto Rico. I didn't notice a huge PR population on the ship. It looked pretty international actually. I herd German, Dutch, French, Italian and lots of English. I did see many teens and they all seemed to be having a great time. I'm sure you will as well

I just got back from that very cruise and didn't notice any over abundance of people from Puerto Rico. We usually stay in PR for several days after our cruise too, since we really enjoy PR and find the people to be very friendly. You will find a very diverse mix of people on the Destiny. I would say most are between the ages of 20-50, median ages.

Usually the prices of the cruise lowers during hurricane months in the Summer and usually that's when the Puerto Ricans tend to travel most on the ship. I wouldn't worry. Mix, mingle & be merry!

Sailed on Destiny on 9-16 and there was a good mix. Had been reading that it was 80% hispanic and they were rude and loud. NOT SO. There were people from everywhere and didn't run into anyone rude. The only loud ones sometimes were some teens which is normal anywhere.
This was a great cruise.
