Carnival Triumph.....seating??
How many people are usually assigned to a table? We are traveling with 8 people in our group, and I'm curious if we will have our "own" table, or be put with a few other couples.
I'm not opposed to either, but since we are traveling with others, it would be kind of nice to have our own table. I've heard of making requests about tables, but who do you take that up with and when? |
My guess would be that the 8 of you will sit together if your bookings are associated with one another. I doubt they would add more people to a table of eight. Once you all get your sail & sign cards, you'll be able to make sure you are all seated at the same table. If there is a problem go see the Maitre D to change your seating arrangements. You can call the purser or check the capers to find out where the maitre D is going to be doing seating requests after boarding.

There are 8 tops and 10 tops.
If your reservations are all linked together, you'll probably end up at an 8 top. A 10 top may put the other "two" as the third wheel. |
Thanks guys.
Yes, I agree and that was what I was a little worried about. If 8 of us who know each other are all talking/laughing at our inside jokes.....I wouldn't want anyone else to feel left out. It would take a very out going couple of people to feel comfortable in that setting. Especially the rowdy group we have. ;) |
I’ve been on 2 cruises with a total of 6 in our group and 2 with a total of 4. Our dinner seating has always been sized to our groups. Lunch and Breakfast are open seating so if you eat in the dinning room, you will often be seated with other people since they tend to use the 10 person tables.
It works out pretty good. You eat dinner with a group that you are comfortable with but during shorter meals you have a chance to meet other interesting people. |
