Ok I am so excited we leave in 5 days we are going one day early does anyone have any last minute suggetions for a newbie I am so afraid of forgetting to pack things I will really need I have learned alot if things I would need from this site it has been so helpfull
My tips for packing would be....a power strip, a large garbage bag to use in the closet, as a hamper, then to pack in the suitcase. I always pack a hair dryer, I know the ships have one....last ship it had weak power, and the one before, it was useless too...
Also, I got sick on my NY eve cruise, and I wish I had packed some cold meds..they wanted an arm and a leg onboard..Bon Voyage!

I agree with Trip, any medications you think you would need, purchase them at home, lots cheaper and you can always buy the travel size. I always pack Imodium, Pepto, Bufferin, Tums, shampoo, etc. AND, I always bring my own pillow. My daughter packs a small fan and brings her own soda. A power strip is a must as there is only one outlet in the room and I pack some extra hangers...there are some in the closets but never enough. I bring a few plastic bags from the grocery store to throw our bathing suits in should they still be damp when we're packing up to go home, oops, let's not talk about going home. Have a great cruise!
My husband and I will be on the same cruise. This will be our 6th cruise with Carnival and will be celebrating our 6 year wedding anniversary. I know you will have a great time. We have been to all the ports before and St. Thomas is our favoite
