Default things that remind you of your past cruises...

I was at Woodfield Mall (near Chicago) last night with an old friend and when I saw the glass elevator, it reminded me of the blue-lighted elevators in the Sensation Atrium. Ah! That set me off dreaming of my July 07 cruise and anticipating my June 08 Fascination cruise. All I could talk about after that was the cruise.

What sets off YOUR cruise daydreams?

We live near the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland & everytime I see the sun sparkleing at sunrise/sunset it brings back great memories of dining in the Windjammer with my daughter & looking across the Atlantic.

I have a tanktop from the Holiday 7 years ago that has shrunk and twisted or should I say Spiraled.

The carnival commercials showing the ship sailing in the middle of the night without another thing in sight. Reminds of the last night as I stand on the deck thinking, "Will I ever get on another one of these?"

I have a whole mess of photos I use for my computer screensaver and desktop picutre that remind me everyday how much fun I had. It also reminds me that I didn't get the greatest shots and I need to go back to get better photos, which I will do gladly as long as the money in my accounts is there

yeah, I agree also about the carnival tv commercials! I think I'll set my home screensaver to the photo slideshow of my trip photos. Great idea!

Raspberry scented body spray always reminds me of my 1st cruise.
I was with two of my nieces,
and they (and I ) always wore that scent.

Other things that make me think of cruising are...

pizza
beaches
down comforters
waking up early for that 1st cup of coffee
pictures, pictures, pictures!

Eating rye bread, drinking a fruity rum drink.

Easily my best one... I received a musical card from Carnival last year for Christmas. It plays their theme song when it opens. I automatically smile and dance when I hear it.

I live about 2 miles from Woodfield Mall but the glass elevators never made me think of cruising. Maybe it's because I'm in there so often. Now I'll probably think about the next time I see them. For me it's usually a song. The marching band at our high school (we go to all the football and basketball games) always plays one of the songs that was played in the dining room one night on our Miracle cruise and Maybe our Pride cruise too. I always think of cruising when I hear it.

Heidi (hi neighbor - I live in Buffalo Grove, work in Rolling Meadows!) I think it was just the blue lighting around the edges of the elevator. I have a couple of photos of the elevators and in one my son is on one of the higher decks and both elevators are up on that floor at the same time, so I have a photo of them with him standing nearby. The blue lighting around the edges is imprinted in my memory.

Small world. My BIL live in BG. My DH works in RM. I was just at the RM courthouse this afternoon.

I guess I wouldn't notice the elevators at Woodfield because the ships I have been on wouldn't have had the blue lights.

On my way to work, I drive by a marina on the Connecticut river, which reminds me of cruising.

Also, my wife has put together a cruise album for each one of our cruises. These include photos, invitations, brochures, etc. Everytime I look at these beautiful albums, it certainly brings back wonderful memories.

Also e-mails from friends we have made on our cruises.

All these reminds me of cruises....

Manuel

yes, I narrowed down my 800+ photos to 486 to print out and they are in a huge album on my coffee table - my son and I love to look through it!

I also have a Sensation mug (so does my son) and mine is at work, so I see it all day long and it makes me LONG to be back at sea!

I just got home from having dinner at Bahama Breeze. That sure reminded me of cruising. I'm ready to go now (sailing on the Liberty 12/02).
