Default Balcony Guarantee

Hello All,

I am looking to book my second cruise and I like the sound of Carnival, (previously RCCL).

I am in the UK and I am "bravely" looking to book via an American Travel Agency. I think I have found the one I am going to use but I have a question for you all. What does a Balcony Guarantee mean? This is not something I came across when booking my last cruise.

Any further help/advice would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Mark

When you book guarenteed balcony, you are guarenteed to get a cabin on the deck you booked with the possibility of an up grade... (higher deck or suite). You'll have a great time..

It means you will get a 8A cabin or higher. Some worry that with a balcony guarantee, they could wind up with an obstructed balcony 7A, no. Only 8A and up.

Something to think about too, is that you could end up in a cabin below the food areas on lido deck. Many people have commented on how noisy it is with chairs scraping etc., for that reason we never opt for the guarantee, but prefer to choose our own cabin.

Just came off the Destiny on Deck 8 just below the Lido Deck. Never again. Too much noise from the chair movements above.
