OK, I sail on January 13 on a Western Caribbean cruise and everyone has already had to set their clocks back an hour, right? As I understand, all the ports we'll visit are also on Central Time as we are up here in Amarillo, TX. But, did they have to set their clocks back an hour also?
Also, since the sun is setting earlier here on account of the fall seasons and time change, will it be as noticable down at the ports? Will the sun be setting earlier there as well?
In January the days are short all over the US....it is not quite as noticeable the further south you go. The sunsets will still be quite early in the Carribean.

You can get the correct time for anywhere and keep up with what the weather is going to be.
I've found this to be helpful on the time changes of where I'm going.
The ships will continue on the time that the home port has. For instance, if you leave from Galveston, which is on Central Time, even if you go to Key West, the ship will still be on Central Time.

But the one question still remains about Daylight Savings Time. If we in the Central time zones are changing to the Winter schedule, will they follow suit?
