Default Drink Price Differences depending where you are on the ship?

Just wondering if you buy a cocktail from a waiter in the casino, if it costs any diff than ordering it at dinner ...because im looking at these menus someone posted and it says a pina colada is 5.25 or somewhere around that...and i remember the ones i ordered (on the Imagination in June 07) while in the casino were like 7.25...and i didnt get no souvinier cup!!...so just wondering??

There are several factors that come into account. What is the special of the day? What type of glass any particular bar is using?

Was your pina coloda in a large glass? or at least a 12 oz glass?

In truth, I have seen discrepancies in the foo-foo pricing but I could never figure out the pattern.

I remember the drink special of the day maybe cheaper with the souvinier cup. Or it may depend on the size of the drink you order. They are not going to tell you can buy a small. They are always going to sell you a large.

I think thats the price of the drink of the day if you REUSE your cup from the last time you bought a drink of the day....

I always purchase those drink coupons so my liquor bill is always paid before I go. I have used them to get the foo food drinks or any other kind of drink in those tall Carnival cups. I found that the tall drink of the day cups and the ones they give you in the casino or bars etc (the regular plastic cup kind) hold exactly the same amount as the tall drink of the day cups. So I ended up just ordering them in regular plastic cups and throwing them out as I had to many of those drink of the day Carnival cups to haul around all night and day.

We just returned from the Freedom and can relate to a drink price confusion.

I ordered a "Yellow Bird" just after sitting down at dinner in the main dining room. The waiter asked if I wanted it in a small glass or a large glass. I was insure why this was even a question but I simply said large and moved on.

At the end of dinner when the tab comes to be signed I noticed it said 2 drinks and a total of $10. I started to ask about it then remembered the question about large or small and decided it must be that a large is billed as 2 drinks.

Cest la vie.....

I have also noticed that in certain US Port Cities a tax is levied on drinks that goes away once you are in International waters.

I was wondering where you get those drink coupons? I have been on one other cruise but don't remember hearing about them.

Thanks for any info you can give me.
