My wife and I are taking a southern cruise in Jan. and we were wondering if anyone had a great ideas for excursions. We are early 30s and fit. I prefer not to book w/cruise line ($). Any help would be awesome. Thanks, Bill
18 cruises and counting!!!!!!
Next cruise-Jan.1-9, 2011 Carnival Freedom
We booked a excursion with Shal in St Lucia, his website is www.jungletoursstlucia.com
We have a great time, your in a open air land rover. He was a lot of fun check out his website. I had gotten reviews on him from cruise critic.
In Antiqua we went to Dickerson Beach, we got chairs in front of Sandles Resort. They have everything you would want to do at this beach, water skiing, horseback riding, etc. There is also a really good restaurant there, the pizza is to die for. We also went ziplining that we booked from the ship it was a fun to. When we go next year we are spending the whole day at Dickerson Beach.
My husband and I did the Eco Tour (http://www.adventureantigua.com/) last January. It was great. It is an all day tour. They pick you up right at the dock and drop you off at the same. They are very conscious of getting you back on time to meet the ship. They spend part of the morning going around the island picking up other people. Only 25 people can go on this tour. The guys doing the tour grew up there and explain lots about the island. They take you to another island where you can explore the island or snorkel. You have a very good lunch on the boat and go to Hell's gate and swim to that and then they take you snorkeling. All in all it was a fun day. I would totally recommend it. I think it cost us $90 or $ 100 each. Not bad for a whole day.
