What to pack for kids??
I have four children, ages 5,7,12 & 14. Generally when I cruise alone, I pack very VERY heavy for myself. I always bring home unworn clothes. So I don't really know what is "normal". I am thinking the kids will need about 2-3 outfit per day, but that seems like alot for a 7 night cruise. The reason I think they need 2-3 is because i am sure we will dress in the morning, then again after excursions, pool or whatever, then again for dinner. Does that seem like a little much??
What do you pack for your kids??
PS, my 14 year old daughter is trying to take everything in her whole closet..LOL!
Portable DVD player for airport/car and somtimes winding down in cabin with kid friendly movies
Ipod with speakers-soft music helps drown out noise during nap time or bedtime
Activities for car or planeride-new sticker books, etc
2 outfits per day
tennis shoes, dress shoes
medicine kit with tylenol, benadryl, etc
Sea bands since the pills are not recommended for kids
kid's shampoo since the stuff in the cabin is not kind to the eyes
freakish amount of sunscreen
Tide stain pen
Each kid gets their own disposable camera
Also, we have smaller rolling suitcases so that they can carry some of their own load.
Oh my! We are WAY different packers... kids get an outfit a day, plus two (so, one-and-a-half). Then, the boys get one pair of dress pants and two dress shirts. Girl gets two "fancy" dresses. That's it! A sweatshirt for each, underwear, swim suits. Card games like Uno, WaterWorks, and chapter books.
Each kid has their own suitcase which they pack and carry. I print out a list of what to pack; they pack it.
Our kdis are 5, 5, 7, and 11.
