We took a ships tour, because we had never been to this port in Jamaica before. I feel it was a waste of time and money. Many stops on the trip, we didn't get off the bus. Others as well, stayed on the bus. The shopping area, was a strip mall, with one jewelry store, a quickie mart and some tee shirt places. Another craft area, was on a hilly area, with many stairs and uneven walking, with craft stalls.
Jimmy Bufftet's Margarittaville was nothing more than a bar and outside restaurant, and not the cleanest place. A drug buy took place right outside
the place, even with cops right around the area.
I hate to be a downer, but if you want great shopping, this is not the port. If you are at all beach inclined, this would be a better bet, than any shopping tour.
Trip, with her book & tea!

We are in our 50's and found a rally laid back excursion for Montego Bay a couple of years ago. We went on a river raft excursion (Carnival) where we took a bus up river and we sailed down the river (two per raft) on a 30' bamboo raft. Each raft had a guide who used a long pole to carry us down the river. It was so relaxing and we really enjoyed it.
