Default When to call for a lower price

I'm currently booked to go to Bahamas on Jan 11,2008 and paid 289.00 for my ticket. today I notice that the ticket has lowered slightly to 274.00. Does anyone think the the price will keep falling and do I wait to see if the rate will get lower or should I be a pain and call for every single time it goes lower. I used Carnival to book and they told me that when I see the price go down I should call. I just want to make sure the price won't go up. HELP!!!!!

Good question....I'm planning Carnival for May 5, '08. My friend says to be patient and prices will come down. This being my first cruise, I'm skeptical. Should I be?

CALL RIGHT NOW!!!!!

The prices of cruises are like the stock market. They change by the minute. Perhaps there has been some cancellations or the cruise is selling a little slow for the computer's taste and therefore the price will be lowered until sales reach an acceptable level and then the price will go up again.

You can call every time the prices goes below what you paid and Carnival will lower your ticket price if the final payment date has not pass. If the final payment date has passed, then they will usually either give you an upgrade or issue you OBC (on board credit) to be used during your cruise.

CALL RIGHT NOW!!!!

I have found that you need to book your cruise as soon as you are sure of the date and ship you want to go on. I always call every couple of months and have my PVP check the prices. On our last cruise they lowered the price 2 times and gave us an on board credit.

You have to call within 24 hours of each time it goes down. It takes about an hour on the phone for them to do all the work or either they punish us. Anyway, call each time. And don't presume it will be correct when you board. Make sure of the correct amount when you get your sign and sail card.
