Default Thinking about booking a cruise Dec 08

This would be our 2nd cruise. The first one we went June 07. We left or New Orleans. That is what we are wanting to do again. We are looking at the one that leaves Dec 8th 2008. We are wondering what the differences would be. Thank you for any feed back.

Do you want to leave out of New Orleans ? If that is the case then your choices are very limited and with older ships. If you want to leave out of miami or fort lauderdale, then you have plenty of choices with brand new ships like the Eurodam, Ruby Princess, Independence of the Seas,
Celebrity Solstice and if you want to go on Carnival then you have the Liberty, Freedom and Splendor, which are the 3 newest ones in the fleet

Well you may be on the cruise, where the holiday decorations go up, and Santa is in shorts in the ports...Pick up a Christmas decoration in an island, thats's fun to bring home..Prices in early Dec are better too!

Thanks, I am going to book our trip in the morning. I have checked it out and we are going to save just under $1000.00 from what it was in June when we went.
I am getting excited already and I have almost a year to wait.

At least, that late in the season, you son't have to worry about storms.

Several years ago, I went the first week in Dec. Prices were cheap and everyone got a Island Xmas present.

I have done early December cruises before the ships tend to be reletively quiet because there will be few kids onboard. For me it was nice because I wanted a "grown up" experience. They put up the holiday decorations around December 1st so you should see those.

We just came back from a Dec 1st - 6th cruise on the Ecstasy and it was wonderful. The weather was great, just a little chilly at night, but the days were beautiful! The first 2 weeks after Thanksgiving seem to be the cheapest time to cruise and we love it.

Ok it's done we leave out of New Orleans Dec 8th 2008 On the Fantasy.
I have a question our room is U196. That is at the back of the ship. Will we be bothered by alot of noise from the motors? Last time we were up closer to the front of the ship. I wasn't sure if we would here the noise as much since we are on the upper floor. Last time we were on the main floor. Thanks.
