Default Requirements for getting onboard the ship

Ok everyone, you've been most helpul about everything else so one more question. Is there anything else I need other than my funpass, luggage tags, passport, and driver's license? I've read about documents being emailed vs regular mail and I'm not sure what these are. I'm leaving in 14 days and just want to make sure I've got everything in order. thanks!!!

If Carnival mailed you the "Blue Pkg" take that because it contains the "Sign & Sail" form you must sign and turn in at embarcation. If not you can print your documents on line to get the form.

There are the actual cruise documents as well, that should have either been downloaded from the web site, or sent to you.

However, with the Fun Pass and ID you'll be able to board, just there will be more documentation to fill out at the pier, so the boarding process will take a bit longer.

If you have to print your docs online what about luggage tags? I've got 14 days left and haven't received anything in the mail.

When you print your documents online, the last sheet has the luggage tags on it and in the correct color. Just print multiple pages of that one sheet.

Truth be known, if you have your Fun Pass filled out online, you really don't need anything else except for your identification.

The porters have a copy of the manifest. Give them your name, they'll give you your cabin # and luggage tugs.

Go inside, and check in, even without documents.

Since I use a local travel agency, I'm hoping that Carnival will send any documents to them. Of course, I'll print my own funpass.
If Carnival is going "paperless" or changes the way they handle documentation, they need to tell ME something directly.

I discovered on our last cruise, that when you book through a travel agent, you do not get your documents as quick as you do booking straight from Carnival. Carnival mails them to the TA, they check them and then send them out to you. If yours is like mine was, you should get them any day. But if not, as others have said, you can print them out.

Default docs

On our last cruise, we had to request paper documents. It wasn't a problem to get them just that they were not automatically sent to us.

Interestingly enough, after my last post on this board I went to Carnival's website. There is an area where one can choose bewteen the E-documents and having them mailed. Of course I requested them to be mailed. Hopefully they will go to my travel agency. When I go in soon to pay off this trip, I'll talk with Mr. travel agent about all this.
