Default Back from Carnival Freedom, questions?

Hey all! I sailed Carnival Freedom last month on it's 4 night cruise just after it finished its transatlantic trip. I made sure to see the entire ship and would be happy to answer any questions about it to the best of my ability!

What did you think of the changing lights in the atrium?

I thought that they were very interesting and added a calming mood. Though most people say the decor is horrendous I didn't mind it. The other colours in the atrium could have been better, by this I mean the gold/bronze shiny material around the lights. Either way I always opted for using the atrium elevators whenever able to enjoy the view.

Overall I was very impressed. I'd have to say that the crew really is what made it an exceptional cruise The ship itself is big and the first thing I would recommend is to take the ship tour! On embarkation day one of the social hosts took us on a full tour and I think for a lot of people they never would have found some parts of the ship if it wasn't for that. Things like the mini-golf, internet cafe, and fish and chips restaurant are a bit hidden. There wasn't a shortage of things to do on the ship and I never had a problem finding a quiet place on the ship to just sit on my laptop either. The Seaside Theatre is actually very popular, they utilized it most of the day. It included CNN news in the morning, the cruise director's "Afternoon Show", and first-run movies. The gym was well equipped and the spa seemed adequate, though I didn't get around to using it. Our cabin was an inside on the Lido deck and wow does it ever pay to be right up there! It was a past guest promotion from 4A->4F so we were happy.

Hope this has helped =)

When we were on her we had an easy time getting around. Though she was packed, we didn't feel that way.

Did you get around ok?

I got around just fine. The main things to remember are that only certain decks go all the way across the ship (Promenade, Lido and maybe Lobby but I can't remember anymore) if you can remember which decks those are then you can orient how to get around the fastest and most direct way.

Another tip that I always give is to buy one of the Carnival lanyards, they're only about $4 in the gift shop. They have a sleeve on them and along with my sail and sign card I always kept a folded ship map as well as the daily caper cutout (the one just highlighting main activities and dining). This way no matter when or where you have your $$, a map, and a schedule. How can you go wrong??

Hope that info comes in handy, enjoy your January cruise!!
