I agree! There was only the one regular outlet so we brought an extension cord with 3 outlets at the end so that each night while we slept we could charge one of our our cell phones, the digital camera battery charger and my son's psp overnight.
Then, I pulled the extension cord out for 10 minutes in the morning so I could use my travel hair dryer.
I have carried one of the little 3-plug strips that is about 3" wide on every cruise since my first one, when I found only one outlet in the cabin. I now keep a smaller power strip with 5 or 6 plug-ins in my bag for all travel. It comes in handy even in hotel rooms, when you are charging 2 cell phones, a computer, a hair dryer and curling irons. It seems that the plugs in the hotel rooms are always behind a large piece of furniture.
On the ship, though, I am careful to not plug in too many things at one time and always unplug the power strip from the wall when I am not using it.

As soon as I get settled into my stateroom , its the first thing I wished I had brought with me, an outlet strip. Thanks for reminding me. Its going right into my suitcase so next time I will not forget.
I wonder if Carnival will every realize that people need a lot of electrical
outlets not just one?
