Default Taxi vs. Transfer

Can anyone give me an estimate on the price of a taxi from Fort Lauderdale Airport to the Miami pier? I have seen $10 - $50. We are going in May and can get a better price into FLL than MIA.
Thanks 8)

more like $60-$80, depending on traffic!
Rent a car with Dollar for about $30 inlcuding all taxes & fees.
It's only like 25-35 minutes drive from FLL to MIA and Dollar
will allow you to pickup at one airport and drop off at another
with NO drop-off charges and they will also shuttle you from
Miami airport tot he cruiseship terminal at no charge.

Last year a few of us needed a ride to the miami airport from Ft. Lauderdale
the price was like 15.00 or 20.00 a person. Its about 30 minutes from
Lauderdale. We thought that was the cheapest way to go.
The rest of us took a taxi from the port to Ft. Lauderdale air port which
is only a few miles and we paid 15.00...
they bought their transfers on the ship. I am sure your TA can take
care of that also....

Sammys figures are much more acurate. When you go out of the airport to the taxis. There is usually some larger taxi vans that make it much cheaper to get the the pier. Good luck, Hotnail

A friend of mine just got back from a cruise out of Miami and said the taxi ride is a $24.00 flat rate each way from the airport to the sea port.

I confirmed that at the Taxi and Shuttle service website of the Miami airport. Each taxi can carry 1 to 5 people for the fee.

go with the car rental. we did that last year and like captain said around $30 bucks and you can take your time. we arrived the day before and made a casual drive down A1A to Miami, went to the airport to drop off the car and took the free shuttle offered by the rental agency. Just verify with the rental agency that they have the shuttle, some didn't. I called the miami airport location to verify.

Default Taxi vs Transfer in Miami

I am sorry that I cant help with your question from Ft. Lauderdale, but I just returned from Miami today. The taxis can not charge more than $24 for trips between the airport and the port. We had four of us and found this to be a better price than the transfers, plus didnt have the waiting for the rest of the shuttle/bus to fill.
