Default What would you like to see on a cruise ship?

Just a fun post don't know if there is a thread like this but if I could design a cruise ship I thought it would be nice to have balcony suites on the outside like usual and one or two decks of balcony suites inside that over look the promenade so you could sit and people watch. feel free to add on but lets try and keep it realistic.

That's the way some of the inside cabins are designed on the "Freedom' class vessels of RCI. The inside cabins don't have a balcony overlooking the promenade, but a large window which overlooks the promenade. It's kind of neat to be able to watch the parades, and all the activities from your own cabin.
I really can't think of anything I'd add to a ship for my own enjoyment, that they don't already have. It seems that either I don't have much imagination, or the designers are way ahead of me.

what I'd like to see on a cruise ship:

1. Me (5 months to go!)
2. No smoking period at all
3. No loud, obnoxious passengers ((especially the drunks)
4. At least 4-5 few cute single guys in their 40's to dance/flirt/hug/kiss....
5. An area for lounge chairs at the back of the ship (remove the kiddie pool please, since no one uses it anyway) with no one under 18 permitted!
6. More activities for passengers to choose from at the same time
7. Better pizza. Sensation's wasn't bad, but even Domino's is better!
8. Again, me!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to my first cruise in July, I'm all set with what I need to know, bring, and do on board. Now I'm just biding my time and anxious to get on my plane at O'Hare, spend 2 days at my mom's, then get a nice umbrella drink, stand on the ship as it pulls out of Miami, and head to the open sea, Key West and Cozumel! Solo cruise for me this time!

My husband and I sitting pool side with umbrella beverages in our hands.

Our children enjoying a wonderful day at sea getting along.

And Kenny Chesney at our table in the dining room.

Now that would be a great trip

Before my first cruise, I had a dream like that. When I stepped out on the balcony, I could open up my balcony and what right out to the pool area... boy it sure was great to get out of the pool and walk right back into my cabin and change.
Hey, I can dream can't I?? 8)

I didn't feel like the pool area was handicap friendly.... I'm overweight (working on it with Weight Watchers) and I was concerned about the way in and out of the pool.
I would love to see a walk-in pool (like a beach without the sand). Now that would be very cool. 8)

I would also like to have a bingo game. Traditional! Like, one price, several games...lots of games.... not 20.00 for a 3 square card and maybe 3 games..... that's not my idea of bingo.
Bingo was my most disappointing aspect of my last cruise. This time I won't even bother.

I just wonder how long it will be before someone comes up with a submarine type cruise ship--someone had mentioned a glass bottom --sometime I figure someone will come up with a semi-submersible or at least a viewing lounge underneath the water so folks can sit and stare out at whatever is out there.
I think personally, there's already enough on cruise ships for me to be satisfied and entertained.I can't get into paying for a cabin with a balcony overlooking the promenade so I can people watch. I can people watch all over the ship and at the malls at home. I want to sit on the balcony and ocean watch !! ;-)

I had mentioned a glass bottom also and someone said with all the pollution
we might not want to see what's under there. Also from what I read some these rooms have balconies inside facing the promenade and facing the ocean.
