We just returned for a Dec 30 cruise on the Valor. There was a singles group onboard. It looked like they had severa themed nights and a lot of activities for the group. They entered the dining room each night singing (more like chanting) and wore their costumes into dinner. On one particular evening there were several of them dressed in a spandex body suit with devils horns and tails. My question is....How do you feel about special groups wearing costumes into dinner in the dining room and singing 2 or 3 times during dinner? We found it to be a bit disruptive and wondered what others thought about it. I know to each their own..just checking to see how others feel.

I think they were having fun. Being part of a group, there are group activities, apparently dressing in costume was one of them.
On the halloween cruises, people come to dinner dressed in costumes. I don't see anything wrong with it.

IF, they were just having a good time, it probably wouldn't bother me,,,however, IF they were bothering, or interrupting the servers, or being exceptionally loud or profane,,,then yes,,,I too would do something about it. If nothing else, I'd ask for another table, away from them, or even move to the other seating. I've seen this happen in the dining room, but it's always been "just in fun".
Thanks for the replies. The rather large group was across the dining room from us and yes they were having fun! It didn't really upset us or we would have ask to be changed to a different dining time or room, but we felt it took something away from the dining room experience of going to an upscale place to eat. I think if it were halloween or a themed night that everyone participated in it would have been different.
