Default Pre-Cruise Hotel - Mobile/Holiday

Has anyone stayed at the Renaissance Riverview Plaza before they cruised on the Holiday out of Mobile? I saw they have a cruise parking package for one night hotel stay plus parking for the cruise duration. They say they have a shuttle to the pier from the hotel. Is this a cumbersome venture?

Have not stayed there but the hotel is on Water Street as is the Cruise Terminal so it must be close. Parking at the Cruise Terminal Garage is aprox $50 for the 4 day and $60 for the 5 day.

Nice hotel parking package is good, but I have heard of some passangers waiting for an hour and a half for the shuttle to pick them up after the cruise. You might want to check on the Holiday Inn Downtown it is next to the Raddiason and has just completed a multi million dollar renovation it is all new from the top to the bottom. I was ther on business last week stayed on the 12th floor overlooking the cruise port, watched Holiday come in that morning and laeve at 4:00p.m. sharp that afternoon. We leave on the Holiday February 25th and I booked at the Holiday Inn I loved the hotel, great bar/lounge on the 17th floor overlooking Mobile and the bay. Enjoy your trip.

We are leaving on the Holiday on February 11th and have a room booked at the Wingate Inn. They have a shuttle available also and have parking available while you cruise. Think theirs is $8 a day for parking. Enjoy your cruise!

I don't know when you are leaving out of Mobile, but remember Mardi Gras is going on through February 5th. The crowds and traffic downtown are heavy right now and the hotel rooms are scarce with very high prices when you can find one.

It is better to stay at Saraland on 1-65 just north of down town. Trains runs all night pass the hotels down town and the hotels are about $50.00 more then in Saraland plus parking is $12.00 per night. The dock is very easy to get to. The cruise exit is well marked on 1-10. You go south 1-65 till you end at 1-10 then go to Moblie. 20 mins. No need to be there till 11:30am. One of the best parking/getting aboard that we have had. The food was also some the best. Always did dinning room. 12 cruise.
Going out of New Orlearns Apr 10th,08 next
We astay on the 21 floor at Riverview. great hotel but 2 much money.
If you do stay there a great little bar is just out side the front door. Great food and fun.

No, we're going in Feb, sorry. But the Holiday is such a great sized ship, you'll be able to meet lots of people easily!
