I received a gift certificate that Carnival is applying to on-board ship credit. Does anyone know for what services, products, etc this $ can be used?

Anything from any of the onboard stores
Drinks
Specialty Restaurants
Shore Excursions

Some gift certificates can also be used for:
Tips/Gratuities
Casino (you may have to actually withdraw from your account at the casino, for which there is a 3% service charge)

You need to find out exactly what kind of GC ya have.

Thanks Captain! My gift certificate is a "Fun Ship Dollars" certificate. Does that give you any information regarding other uses?

If it's a Funship Dollar gift certificate, that is as good as cash and I do believe you can use it for anything on the ship, including tips. Keep in mind that casino 3% service charge.

You can use fun ship dollars for anything but cash on the ship.
They will credit it to your sign and sail card.

I get them all the time along with bar drink coupons.

So nice to have most of my fun paid for before I go.

I do the same thing as Sammy. Right now I have $200.00 worth of fun ship dollar gift certificates pre paid as on board credit for my up coming cruise in April. I have $75.00 worth I am sending to Carnival to use for my Fiance'. I buy & use them to keep my total down on the bill. I buy photo coupons & drink coupons ahead of time. All of it helps with the budget. Its just less I have to worry about.
