My family is sailing on Carnval Liberty April 12, 2008. One of our stops is Costa Rica. Never having been there, I can't decide which shore excursion would be best. The two that seem most interesting to me would be either "Biking through a Village" or "Nature and Traditions at Bocuare Haven". Has anyone done either of these? Our daughters are 12 and 15. I would like them to get a real feel for the country, not just a touristy fake excursion. Having been on several Carnival excursions, I know that some are top notch, while others feel a bit "canned", giving the feeling that the locals are putting on a show of what we want to see rather than what is really there. Any thoughts? Any other suggestions for a better idea? Thanks in advance.
