Default Legend Drydock - Cruise 1/20 - Questions?

I just came back from the Carnival Legend Sunday. This was the first cruise since drydock. I know there were questions about what was going on during drydock. Yes, there is now a mini-golf course. It is on deck 11 and wraps around the jogging track and basketball court. I understand they also laid new carpet throughout the ship. They also replaced the stage surface in the Follies Lounge. Other than that, I am not sure what else was done. There is no big screen on the Lido deck. Our cruise did switch Roatan and Belize. I understand this was due to too many ships in one of the ports. After three consecutive RCCL cruises, I found the Legend was right up there in service. I really had an enjoyable time. Now... I will watch the tan fade away...

If there are any questions you would like to answered, please feel free to ask and I will try to answer. I am also going to post a review on cruisecritic.com.

Welcome back. I sailed the Legend just before she went into drydock.
How were the big shows? Did they still have all four lead singers, instead of the two that all the other Carnival ships have? I really enjoyed the slight differences in the shows for that reason, and have booked Legend again.

To answer the singers question, they still have the four singer layout. I think they will keep it for a while. I took the backstage tour the day after the "Take Two" show and they invest A LOT of money in each productions costumes and sets. The four singers really do have a nice harmony.

Your timing for saying that was perfect for us. We've done 5 RCCL trips, & this morning I booked a balony room on Legend for next year. The reviews and comments looked good and the price was great. RCL is getting to be very expensive I think.

Thanks
Bob

You're welcome Bob. I know when I booked I was debating on RCCL's Freedom and Carnival Legend. The ports won out. I have never been to Belize and Roatan. Regarding the balconies, O looked at the balcony of the Grandeur while it was docked next to us. The balcony seems wider on RCCL but I think Carnival has the most room in the cabin itself. Have fun!!!

Default Legend Main Deck Question

Great, I do have one question if you can answer it. We booked a balcony room, 4166 Main Deck. The diagram shows the Atrium in front of the door, or maybe theres a wall. Is this room overlooking the Atrium, or smack dab in the middle of a crowd of people right outside our door? I doubt it's that, but I'd like to know.

Thanks. Bob

I was on the legend last year and your room will have a solid wall across
from it with windows overlooking the atrium it should be quiet.
