vip check in

We are leaving on Fasination Friday the 15th. (a last minute cruise) this will be my parents 10th cruise, since it is only our 4th will we be able to go into VIP check in with them? We have a cabin right next to them.

If your cabin is Cat 11 then yes you have VIP checking.

Hello Meghan:

It depends on how busy the port is when you get there, and the mood the staff are in.

The lovely Mrs. Jones (Vita) and I are Platinum, and often they let whoever is traveling with us go ahead and join us at the VIP check-in, but sometimes they don't. If you talk really nice to them, and explain the situation, I'd bet they'll let you stay together. If not, then just arrange to meet them on the Lido deck after you both get aboard. 8) In any case, don't let being separated at embarkation spoil your day, or a great cruise.

Was on a cruise not to long ago and they would not let my friends from next door join us in the Express line

. It was ok to me I earned my VIP one day they will to..

As for the message forms I think we need to cruise more and talk less about the cruise ship problems and the bashing of each other on here

I did not realize how many times the VIP folks are asked to do this.
We just returned from a B2B in Miami on the Imagination.

We sat in the VIP Lounge and had 6 separate VIPs ask to bring their NonVIP friends and family with them. Each time (in Miami) the answer was no. One guy had 10 non VIP friends that he wanted to bring along.

One couple just had one other couple but that answer was still no.

Very nice new terminal!!

Our last cruise we took from Port Canaveral our shuttle bus driver told us that we could check in at either end of the terminal, if there was a line at one end go to the other end. The first line was really long so we walked to the other end of the terminal, got there and there was a sign that said VIP check-in. Some man (passenger) in front of us said "this is VIP only check-in", so we asked the lady if we could check in there if we were not VIP and she said sure, it's okay. That man wasn't very happy though

We check right in and was on board in less than 25 minutes. It would have taken a lot longer using the other line. We were happy

well since my parents are VIP this time and this is my 8th cruise and we are traveling together in the same car, hopefuly we can go with them in the VIP line

If it is Miami, the answer will still probably be no. I saw this over and over again. Each port "does their own thing" and some are stricter than others.

It does not matter how you arrive. The keys and sail and sign cards for nonVIP are in a different section of the terminal. They pull the VIP keys and Sail and Sign cards only and place them in the VIP lounge.

The only exception will be if all four of you are staying in the same cabin. If you are, then all your Sail and Sign cards and keys will be in the VIP room.

On our cruise on the Ecstasy, we were pulled from the line and sent to the VIP window to check in. Don't know why but I took it.

I have seen it go both ways
Last cruise in Jan 08 we took friends along who were no where near VIP status but they allowed them to go along with us at the VIP check in
time before that same thing but our friends had to go to the regular line
Now we are booked for 4/17 so I am curious to see how this one will go..
i agree with the one post here who said dont let it ruin your cruise which ever way it rolls...
either way they will do their best to get you checked in as fast as possible
and if you get your fun pass printed that will get you into another line that moves quicker

Why do people think they should be VIP because they know somebody that is. ??? Last month At Miami 1 perso tried to get 23 people in VIP and it was NO. At FFL 6 tried it and it was NO, but at FFL VIP is a different line to sit in at Miami its a lounge. Your only going to be apart for 1/2 to 1 hr. Book a suite or become platinum then you can be VIP.
