I saw a few listings on eBay for 2 for 1 cruise certificates from My Free Travel. Has anyone ever done this before? It sounds like a good deal so I am just wondering if it is legitimate.
I have no idea of the exact company referenced... BUT two things I would never believe... that travel is free, and that I can get the best deal for a cruise on Ebay.
Yea, but I can't seem to find any discounts anyway for the cruise I'm looking at...it's only $0.99, I might just try it and see...
When I say full retail, it's like the rack rate for a hotel. You rarely actually pay that rate although that is what they have on the books. Usually it's about half. Out of curiosity I looked at eBay and that is exactly one of the requirements. Also you can only purchase from their agent. They offer no guarantees as to dates so it's unlikely you would get the date requested unless it is off peak and if it's off peak you can buy two cruises for the price of one full retail fare on almost every cruise at any time.

If they are the same as the website of the same name...
On one of the deals it says...
"Registration Form has a $35 certificate registration fee. When completing the Reservation Request Form, travelers are required to pay a $199 fee per person which covers all port and service fees. Travelers can redeem and fill out a Reservation Request Form online."
but....
2-for-1 Cruise
Two people can cruise for the price of one! This certificate allows two people to cruise in the same cabin for the price of one. The first person pays full fare while the second pays only the port fees and cruise taxes. Travelers can choose from any cruise line, any itinerary and any type of cabin. Travelers can see available cruises, book and make reservations online at 3 w's "name of the deal" cruise dot com. A $10 registration fee applies
Either way I would not go for it. If its sounds too good to be true...
