Default Suggestions for excursions for Nassau, St Thomas, & St M

I'm going to these locations on April 26 and am looking for suggestions for the best excursions. I'm considering buying from Carnival instead of just winging it as my friends don't trust not using Carnival (afraid of being left behind). Anyhow, there are so many choices I don't know which ones are the best value and which ones are rip offs. I've been to Nassau and visited Atlantis so want to do something different - we are only there from 8 am till 2 pm so not too much time. Full days at both St Thomas and St Marteen so can do more there. Love to snorkel so want to do that at once location but other than that are open. Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

I have your answer for St. Thomas Go to : http://www.eeetours.com/index.html

Tell Henry that Luanne sent you.

You tell him what you like to do, and he will custom your excursion to fit you and your family.

Are you by chance going on the Valor? I am doing the same islands this summer, on the Valor.

Default Nassau Excursions

Get off the ship - go to the Taxi area, but look for the Black Limo - ask for "THE BIG D" David is his name - he took 2 couples on a complete tour of the beaches and islands and gave us such great info - We got over 3 hours for $200 - that was only $50 each and cheaper than tours offered on the ship.

He is great.

Let me know if you are very interested and I can get you a telephone number - we still have his card.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'm looking up every one of them and getting lot's of information. I'd love to have the website or phone number for David "Cruisesrme".

Still haven't booked anything but gathering info to help my friends and I come to a decision.

Jax I am on the same ship with you guys and am looking for a tour also. Luanne's suggestion looks good and so does the Sonny Liston Tour company which I put up on keyword. Kenny and I were looking to tour the places, shop and maybe a stop at the beach. Airforce one is a good tour site also.

Hi Ro. I know we're on the same cruise. Maybe my group of 4 and your group and Colts18's group from Tennessee can get together on one of these tours and get a group rate There are just sooooo many options I'm just not sure what I want to do. The more I look the more I want to take one of these other tours rather than the Carnival offered one.

Jax So far I have been researching tours on the computer today and don't want to do the Carnival based tours. I think they cost to much. From reading what people wrote on this site and and the cruisecritic site I am gearing and leaning toward Sonny Liston tours package #1. Its sightseeing, shopping, beach of your choice. It only costs 25.00 each and I emailed Sonny to see if we can get on a vehicle he is driving. They said that Sonny is to much fun to drive with. 25.00 is afforable to me. Taxi's are 10.00 to go shopping so to pay an extra 15 to go sightseeing and to the beach I think that is great. Still researching today so let me know what you guys are doing. Air Force one has great listed tours to. Also that Henry that Luanne recommended here has some good tours also but his cost 35.00 each person. To much to think about but time is ticking down for us all!

If you want a nice beach and some excitment I would suggest the Sunset Beach Bar in St. Maarten.

It is a bar and crazy at night but during the day its a nice place to relax and have a bite to eat. The attraction for me, besides the water, is the fact that it is as they say "Literally... On the beach, on the runway! " of the airport!! The planes approach directly over your head over the beach !

Some take off from the end of the runway so you can stand at the fence and HOLD ON as it takes off.

No don't get the impression it is a constant loud thing. There are only a few flights at this airport.. We got there about 9am and the place was empty...no one on the beach at all. From 9am til about 1pm we saw about 5 planes come in.

You just need to take a taxi over to that side of the island....tell them you want to go to Sunset Beach Bar. I will send you the website in PM since I prob can't post it here.

Do allow time to return to the ship, though. There is some traffic about that time so to be safe for a 2pm sail leave SSBB about noon.

Okay, were to start

In St Thomas we did the St Thomas Wave Runner ( Jetski) and Snorkeling tour its really cool and you get almost 2 hours on the wave runners:-) Way cheaper then renting them by the 1/2 hr.

In St Maarten we really enjoyed the St Maarten ATV Island Tour and Orient Beach its really a lot of fun and you get to stop at Orient beach for a while too!!

and finally, in Nassau we did http://bahamascruiseexcursions.com]Nassau Clear Kayaks and Snorkeling[/url] you can also do power snorkeling with the motorized thing that pulls you through the water but we just did normal snorkeling and the clear kayaks which was a lot of fun
