We were on the Liberty in Jan 08 and loved it
as we do all the Carnival ships
Liberty had a great staff and the ship is lovely
loved the big screen by the pool
the spa/gym was awsome
and the service we rec. was first class

Dear Luanne & all:

I am currently writing my review of this cruise and will post it along with a photo gallery shortly.

Yes, we (husband, son, daughter) enjoyed the Carnival Liberty and the itinerary very much. We had gorgeous weather, fun excursions, wonderful entertainment and a fabulous cruise director.

I am not yet in post cruise depression (pcd). Maybe I won't get pcd because we are booked on the Blog2NOLA cruise. Every other time we returned home we didn't have another cruise planned so maybe that's the key!

I'll try to get my review posted quickly.

HappyJan

Yes, we enjoyed the Lido Deck location of the cabins very much. We liked being on the same level as Emile's (buffet).

The balcony was a little wider than we expected. Room for two chairs (one that reclined) and one table. If we were sitting on the balcony and the musical duo Cool Island was playing on the Lido Deck pool area, you could hear what song they were performing but it was not overly loud, like it was if you were there right in front of them.

We heard no hallway noise. The only passengers in our hallway were people going to or from their cabins or they were lost.

We will be sailing on the Liberty in June, looking forward to a review!

We are going on the Western Itin........I am a little nervouse about Ochos Rios, especially since we will have the kids with us.

We are planning to take the river tubing excursion that Carnvial has, I just hope it will be safe and hassel free because of the kids. We have never been to Jamaica............we are so use to the eastern itin. we wanted to try something different. I feel very safe in St. Maarten, St. Thomas, Nassau, etc.......I hope we do not have any problems.

Heading out on the Liberty for our 15th wedding anniversary on the June 7th cruise.

This is my wife's first cruise, my second. We're on Lido, towards the bow.

We can't wait. Kids are at home, so we'll be real relaxed. Cozumel, Ocho Rios and grand Cayman.

Vacationed on Cozumel for a week back in the early 90's so I know my destination once we hit th island. Any suggestions for Grand Cayman and Ocho Rios are appreciated!

can't wait to see the pictures and review.... we're on the Panorama deck May 4th. Can you tell us anything about that deck (in case you ventured upstairs). I love knowing that we might be able to sit on the balcony and listen to some music. This is a girls' trip and we're now up to 11, 2 balconies and 2 cabins on Riviera. I loved hearing about the cruise directors too! share soon, very soon please!

We are booked on the liberty on July with our 13 yo twins. Right now,
we are in a room on the main deck--level two. We are trying to decide if
it would be better to be up on the spa level so we would be closer to the
pool and other activites that our kids want to do.
Any suggestions?

It's been several years since we cruised Carnival. I am just curious: do they still have 24 hour pizza available? We were night owls and really enjoyed eating a slice of pizza before turning in at the end of the night.
