Some use them to "budget" their cruise. No major financial benefit...as each of the coupons is "worth" a drink around $5. Anything more expensive [such as a Martini] you pay extra for

I buy drink coupons and fun ship dollars all year so that when
we go everything is pretty much paid for before we even leave
home.
No benefit except knowing I wont have a bill at the end of my
cruise.
Drink coupons are for 4 drinks, and fun ship dollars you can buy
in different amounts.

We bought tem for our cruise with a gift amex card giving to us rom work so all paid for in advance. Nice thing is we don;t have to put it on our ship and sail credit card. So it does seem to help to spread your funds around. Did our shore trips this way too and no worries. Only 3 more days !! 8)

I always buy the drink coupons so far I have 160.00 and my fiance has 80.00 for our 7 days cruise. I purchase them just to help the budget. I like everything paid for ahead of time so nothing ever gets put on the credit or debit card. I also purchase my photo coupons, and gift certificates also. The gift certificates I use for my our on board credit. I have 200.00 already on it and my fiance has 125.00. It just helps the budget. I hate bills.

What happens if you don't use them all? Do you have to bet for a refund? Do they carry over to another cruise? (same ship, different ship)?

I did not buy any for our last cruise and decided to get them for the next one. I have already started buying my gift certificates so we won't have a big bill. I was carried away with the photos last time and I will purchase the photo certificates this time.

I always have sets left from each cruise as I tend to buy a few extras just in case. I have one set left over from last year and am taking it to use on this cruise in April. I never ever have a problem and I use them for any sort of drinks high end or low. I used to give them away but no more since I found out they are usable with no expiration date on them. I have purchased alot of them in late 2007 that say 19.95 a set and a few that the price has gone up to 21 dollars. I called and the rep told me after looking up my name they are fine to use and I could use the set left over from last years cruise. She even told me to use her name if I had trouble and go to the pursers desk and they would call the promotions desk where they are processed out of.
