Default SkyAuction?

Question...has anyone ever heard of or used the travel booking site called SkyAuction?

Just wondering if this is a reputable organization or if one should stay away!

Thanks!
Ashley

I have checked out skyauction and I have yet to find a true bargain yet. They make it look like a good deal until you add in all the taxes and fees included in the small print.
I have also read several complaints about unresolved customer service issues. If you have an issue or run into trouble with a cruise you really need someone to be your advocate and someone who specializes in cruises.
I found a cruise we had booked through our agent, and compared it to the listing on skyauction and it was actually less expensive to purchase it through my agent.

i have used smartcruiser.com for the best deals for any cruises and they are very reputable as well.

After posting I did a little research and I am glad that I did. There were only 1 or 2 positive reviews and many many more negative ones.

In the end it seems that you don't really save any money with hidden fees and availability of the weeks that you want to book are pretty scarce.

Oh Well...I guess it would fall under that category...If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!

Later Taters!

I "won" a auction for New Orleans 4 day, for about $600 for a 1A says request quote for a OV. So, I emailed them requesting a quote for 2 days, they answered I must use the form (that asks for payment). Cant seem to ask for more than 1 date with the form. I also wanted to know if I could request a 1A guarantee instead of a specific cabin, still havent been able to obtain an answer. People dont have to give a credit card to bid and the price is good it says for 2 years. I may still go, but Id like to know a bit more before I pay them.

Price is nothing to write home about I decided either. I could buy thru a TA I know for that price or within $20 for a 1A. If you dont care, it may be just fine. You also have to pay in full at the time of booking your date, so I dont know if you can cancel. More questions than answers here. I would guess its best to not book until last minute since you have to pay in full. At least I know the price can't go up either.
