Default If You Had To Pick

If you had to pick just one thing you enjoy the most on a cruise, or if you have not cruised, what is the one thing, you can't wait to do?

1.Enjoying a drink as we look out on the vast open waters under a blazing sun.

2. Seeing Kuki second line

for me, it was in July on Sensation, standing at the front of the ship on the sports deck with my son, looking out at the beautiful calm blue ocean and clear skies, away from the rest of the ship, just having a peaceful, tranquil moment, listening to the wind. I captured that vision on film and it's my computer desktop at work. I can't wait to experience that moment again, on Fascination in June, at the same spot, but since I'm going solo this time, hopefully finding a cute guy on board to share the moment with.

The one thing I can't wait to do (it's sort of become a tradition) is after we've embarked and got our S&S cards, we each get a Pina Colada, and drink a toast to our arrival. After that, we like to explore the ship.( I'll make a mental note of the secluded spots where we can have a quick smooch later ) The Orange Vest Fashion Show (aka the Muster Drill) is definetly a highlight! (For those of you that are about to go on your very first cruise, you'll see what I mean :o ) We also look forward to the made-to-order omeletes at the breakfest buffet each morning.

Coming into various ports has to be the highlight for me. I'll never forget the first time I saw Bermuda, it was simply overwhelming. We waited until our kids were raised (pretty much, not sure they are ever really totally raised!) before we traveled and we appreciate it all the more. It's a real treat and we like to cruise whenever possible. I love every moment. Never found one thing to complain about.

Watching the sunsets every evening. The beautiful pictures I have taken have made the whole trip with it.

It's got to be performing (singing) on the big stage, with the live musicians, and in front of the entire theater full of other guests. What a rush that is! 8)

For me it's the formal nights. Everytime I get ready, it feels like it did on prom night, wedding day, all rolled into one.....ya, I'm still "lost in the 60's".

When the Paradise was still Smokefree, the wife & I looked forward to watching the sunset from the hot tub the first night out. I miss that chance.

pushing yourself away from the table after your first night meal in the main dining room and realizing you don't have to pay the bill, do the dishes and you get to do it for 6 more nights

1.Tropical sunset, at the rail, preferably with tropical drink and spouse in hand.

2. Dozing on Verandah in tropical sea with a good book.

3. Sailaway from a busy exotic port with maybe 100 sailboats and power vessels seeing you off. (Helsinki, Auckland and Osaka come to mind)

For me, it was standing out on the deck with my DW of 25 years and watching the sunset. It was awsome!

Standing on the highest deck, in the late evening, enjoying the breeze as it rushes over me.

Sitting out on my balcony watching the water go by, nothing quite like it.. Also there is nothing like a sunset over the ocean and the stars at night.

I love waking up early, going out on our balcony and watching the ship pull up to the islands. I also take pics of every sunset. Ahhhh, just 3 more months and I can do it all over again

I have two...

1) Getting all dressed up...

2) Sitting on the back of the boat at 2 a.m. It's my favorite place to be...

To be honest, I was really looking forward to a cruise with my now former spouse where we would get up and watch the sunset, a little hand holding, watching the ocean go by, relaxing by the pool and watch the sunset at night. Well I missed out, and we were together for 7 days for our anniversary in Sept. Soooo. I am looking for that now and I am on the hunt for a great cruise, hopefully soon, maybe for my 40th bday. It may be as a single, but I know i will have a great time! (ok, i can't hold my own hand, but who cares! I'm cruisin!)

WOW - so many things - so I'll just list a couple:

1. Our kids and the spouses with us and no option but to spend time with us - hahaha!

2. Mimosas in the morning on the Lido Deck.

3. The beauty of the water, the ocean breeze, and the sunset and enjoying all of this with my DH of 26 years!

4. and last, but definitely not least: THE MONKEY HEAD DRINK!!!

Nothing better than a cruise!

At the end of a wonderful day, getting ready for bed, but stepping out onto the balcony once last time, to enjoy the night! Don't let your your imaginations run wild! It's just the beauty, peacefulness, and grandeur of the ocean! It's magical! It's like a goodnight kiss!

getting to watch the sun rise as the boats docks into some strange exotic port you have never been to with only a few other people up on deck with you.

Getting up about half and hour before the sunrises, going out to our stateroom balcony, sitting back in the chair and kicking my feet up on the railing......sipping my morning cup of coffee while watching the sun rise......and thinking to myself " hope I win the lotto tonight, for I want to keep cruising for the rest of my life".
