Default Why does low cost Carnival have larger cabins and Network TV

I always wondered why Carnival Cruise lines has larger cabins then the other ships and has decided to offer major network television (ABC, NBC, and CBS). I wonder why other low cost cruiselines do not offer this? Ideas?

Just wondering if there's any reason you feel it necessary to have "multile personalities" for the boards?

If you cruise to watch TV, you may as well stay at home!

We have a repeat moaner/groaner/whiner!

Network tv in the cabins is nice, but sorry, if I am in my cabin it is because I am resting my aching body after a long dat ashore/walking about the ship, sleeping, getting ready for meals, or watching the sailaways!!!!

I don't watch tv on my travels, I will put it on the info station (14) and that is what I will watch, until I find the info I want (weather!). If there is a sohw I need to see I will get someone at home to record it on my DVD for me!!!!

Actually I think quite a few people do enjoy having the network TV, or movies etc to watch during down time, or just to relax.

I know Oceania Cruise Line has just announced satellite tv acess for their passenger cabins... including the ability to tape programming to watch later during your cruise.

Everyone enjoys different things in their vacations.

My husband and I do take a break in our cabin - usually around 4 pm - to rest up for the evening and DH - the remote control junkie he is - flips through the channels and likes to see what movies are playing.

Believe me, I don't let him hold the remote long - let's rest and get back on deck!!
