Weather in December?

We are going on the fantasy Dec -08-08.I was wondering what the weather was in Dec from people that cruised that time of year. Trying to see what we are going to need to pack. Thanks for any help.

We went out of Galveston on New Year's day one year. It was chilly the day we left port. It warmed up the next day. Since you are going out of Florida it may be warmer.

We have sailed several times in December out of Florida. A couple of times, we had to wear long pants for embarkation, but we wore shorts the rest of the cruise. December weather is usually great for cruising.

Thank you for your help. We will be leaving out of New Orleans.
I think we will take some jeans and a light jacket for late nights on the deck. When we was on our cruise in June we would go get a slice of pizza and sit out on the deck almost every night.

We just came back from the Western Caribbean the 3rd week in December. We left from Miami. The weather was in the mid to low 80's everyday. The only time I wore pants was at dinner time
