Atlantis is very nice with an aquarium and lots to see and do. I really enjoyed the pirate museum (walking distance from the ship). We took the city tour with some friends in January and were not impressed. I will be in Nassau in April, and I think we will be going over to Atlantis.

I agree, Atantis and the aquarium are just beautiful. We took a tour last year that was a city tour and also included the Pirate Museum. We really enjoyed the museum. Two links below are for Nassau. I don't have photos from Pirate museum in cruisemates.

i would go to atlantis.

i would also go on my own and not with the tour so you can go and come back whatever time you want to.

the last time i went there i just went shopping around the shops which are as soon as you get off the ship.

hope you have fun!

The ONLY thing to do in Nassau ism go to the Atlantis, but not being a guest there you can't do much, and the gambling is expensive! So thats why I hate going to Nassau. Its ugly!

We are leaving on Liberty next Sunday... CAN'T WAIT. We have had SOOOOO much snow (in Iowa) this year it is time to get away to warmer weather. Can anyone tell me about the pirates museum! What is the cost and is it worth it. Thanks !!! Happy cruising.....

We went on the stingray adventure for $39.00 pp. Not a bad price to swim with the rays and hand out at the beach for 3-31/2 hrs.

Here is the website:

http://www.pirates-of-nassau.com/

The price is $12 for adults and $6 for children. We really enjoyed it.

Although Atlantis is really nice, if you want to see what life in Nassau is really like, you should take the #10 bus (riding with the locals) for a $1 per person and go to the local fishing village. They serve up the local catches and have GREAT food! The prices are dirt cheap and it will be the best seafood you have ever eaten! Unbelievable conch fritters. 10 for $3!!!!!!
