We did the Deluxe Sail, Snorkle and Beach Party at Cozumel. 70 on board, crew very attentive and informative. But apparently, I missed the code word translation - "party" seems to always mean the alcohol is flowing big time. I was kindly informed about this by those in the know. Our group of 4 and one other group of perhaps 7 seemed to be the only non-drinkers onboard. This wasn't a huge dilemma for us as we are all adults, but there was a couple of young people, ages 11 maybe, and I would never want to submit my child to the supreme cussing and stuff that came towards the end of the ride.
I couldn't say enough good things about the crew - very professional, kept us supplied with the Diet Pepsi's and Sprites, boat very clean, very helpful snorkeling, great pictures. And, I will say, who started the good line dancing?....wasn't the drunks. But they all joined in and thankfully no one fell off the boat. This was with the Fury group.
This excursion was about $57 and, even with the mucho drinking, it was well worth it. It was docked right up from our disembarkation gangway, easy to find, so we probably left the dock about...9:30. Off to a spot for orientation, off to the snorkel spot, 30 minutes there, then another 15 minutes to the private beach were we were exactly one hour (the Fury has 5 boats and apparently they are in and out of this private beach all day). There was a vendor selling hamburger plates on the beach, kayaking, volleyball, one little stand selling jewelry, plenty of umbrellas and palapas, chaise lounges as well as chairs in the shade or not. We jumped back into the boat about 1 and arrived about 1:30 at the dock, plenty of time left to enjoy other parts of Cozumel, didn't have to be back on the ship till 4:30. We gave the crew a tip each.
